Name of Anime – Classroom of the Elite
No of Episodes – 12
Genre – Psychological Thriller
Year of Release – 2017
Summary – The Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School, is a place that is determined to create a generation of youth that will be assets towards the country in the future. To do so, the students of the school are given a high degree of freedom to closely relate real life.
We see the story through the eyes of Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, an introvert who would prefer to stay alone than make friends. He is put in Class – D which is of the lowest rank and houses all the inferior kids. But when he gets acquainted with two others – Suzune Horikita and Kikyō Kushida, things start to change for him.
Review – If you’ve watched Assassination Classroom, you kind of get the idea of the “inferior kids” concept. But the story line of this anime was way different from what I had initially imagined. Ayanokoji has a lot more behind the mask and Horikita seems to be a great strategist. Kushida has a motive but we don’t actually get to see more about it since the season is just 12 episodes. As it is a thriller, you’re most likely to binge through the entire thing at once.
Rating – Five on five for sure; I really wish there was a season 2 coming out, because there was a lot of unfinished business in season one that I wanted to know more about
