As she continued to stare at the ocean
Dew in her eyes with the sand in her toes,
The sea waves crashed at the shore once more,
And thoughts clouded her head with emotion whilst she stared.
Stared into the unknown,
Thinking about how the days have gone.
Realization hit her when she remembered that they will never come back.
She closed her eyes again,
Pondering anew,
It hit her that there’s something called the future –
Which was in her fingertips; in her grasp if she could catch on to it,
Before it becomes too late; before it becomes regretful.
With a final glance and fresh conceptions,
Her footprints marked the sand as she decided to turn a new leaf.
