Nancy Drew And The Hidden Staircase

Name of the Movie- Nancy Drew and The Hidden Staircase

Genre- Crime, Drama, Family, Mystery

Director- Katt Shea

IMDb rating- 5.7/10

Synopsis- After her mother died, Carson Drew decided that he and Nancy should move to River Heights to stay with his sister Hannah. As Nancy tries to accustom to her new surroundings, a mystery unravels, which helps her establish her place in the community.

Review- Overall, I’d give it a 7/10, even though the original Nancy Drew script wasn’t followed, because I did like the setting of River Heights and the scenes of the crime. They were really realistic and up to the mark.

Nancy was an amusement when she had decided to pull a prank on a bully. This does show her strength of being righteous and standing up for herself, which is something we all do need, but in the right circumstances. Bess and George didn’t have much scenes in the movie, which I felt as something missing from the entire script, because Nancy usually relies on them for a mystery and they do work it out together.
