It’s been a while since I wrote one of these – but if you’ve been here for a while – Hello again and if not – Welcome!

A few weeks ago – I was scrolling through posts for the next book that I could read to contribute to my Goodreads Reading Challenge (more like help me complete the goal before June, if you get the drift) and I saw a list of recommendations of books that could be read in an hour.
And so came the Ex-Wives Club.
Now having read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, I was curious to see how “wives” or more like ex-wives played a picture in a story. And it gave in a whole new light.
Ex-wives as friends. This actually starts as the premise of the story (with a murder and the classic “Well, who did it?”) of course. I think the point at which there was a slight grip and off course was where they introduced a character that didn’t make much sense to the plot. Like you’d expect that this character would have done it – cause hello, motive? But it didn’t turn out that way AT ALL. And the wives having children – I mean in comparison to the Seven Husbands, I thought of that as a normal thing.
Given this to be my first review in a while, I’m going to withhold on the spoilers this time round. However, I must say, that it is a quick paced 1 to 2 hour read that might just kick people off the reading slump spiral.
My rating –

I’d say I’d give it a 3.5. It was paced well, but I don’t think I’d read it a second time.
