So, when I took this picture to sketch, the first thing that ran in my mind was that it was very similar to the cover of the book House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Mass. Although I haven’t read the book, I have heard that it’s pretty good. I haven’t read too many Sarah J Mass books, but her writing style is pretty good and confusing at the same time. I’d rate her books a 3.5-4 stars out of five stars.
I did try to mimic the color scheme (as shown on the phone nearby) but since I couldn’t bring myself to give an all red color scheme for the designs, I gave it my own twist and gave it some various shades instead.
After drawing this sketch, I thought that I should read this book as soon as possible and share my thoughts.
