Zentangle – An American method for drawing, which not only promotes concentration and creativity but at the same time increases personal well-being. Zentangle was invented by a monk named Rick Roberts and an artist named Maria Thomas. With Zentangle they created a combination of meditation and art.
It is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns, tangles. You create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs.
When I started this sketch, the thoughts in my mind were about those bullet journal pictures on Instagram, where people incorporate this in their monthly and weekly spreads.

But after I was done with the sketch, a friend of mine had complimented me on applying Zentangle art. Curious about this phenomenon, I went to search it up and saw that the designs that I have used are actually designs that are a part of Zentangle art.
Drawing these designs kinda felt therapeutic, cause they required minimum hand movements and the space used was pretty small. I did have a lot of fun using my color pencils to blend in and swatch some new ombre based colors.
I hope you all try out this form of art and enjoy it as much as I did.
