Itaewon Class (Drama Review)

Name of the Drama Itaewon Class

Language- Korean

No of Episodes- 16

Genre- Drama

Summary- Park Saeroyi is a kid that gets expelled out of high school on his first day because he stood up for bullying against the richest kid in school and later becomes an ex-convict sentenced for three years just for throwing a punch at the same kid because he killed his father.

Seven years later, he starts his new life by starting a pub that will overpower the rich man’s business, making him No. 1 in the country.

Review- First off, I would like to mention that I started watching the drama back when the news about Sweet Night by V in Episode 12 had came out. But after a few episodes, I did put the drama on hiatus for other reasons. In the end, I did end up watching those last few episodes that I had previously put on hold.

As for the review, I’m kind of a fan of Park Seo-joon, and the storyline was pretty interesting. It shows the different personas as to how a business is run: through “people” or through “money”. The concept that was my favorite in the drama was actually the storylines of Saeroyi’s employers and how he treated them with the utmost respect.

Rating: I’d give the drama a five on five; highly recommend it to people who are interested in watching corporate storylines.
