And Elena Richardson would be ready to put anyone in their place if they were against these principles.
In comes Mia Warren, an artist and single mother who doesn’t abide by this status quo and rents a place from the Richardsons. Slowly the owners become quite attached to their tenants, but as events unfold, Elena becomes desperate to know more about Mia’s past, which will come at a devastating price.
Review- When I first picked up the book, I felt intrigued because the story started off at a slow pace, the first chapter feeling disconnected from the timeline that has been enticed with it. But it was towards the middle that it slowly started to piece together and that made me more eager to finish each chapter to get to the end. I’d highly recommend if you’re someone who’s into thrillers and would like a slow paced thriller book.
Rating- I’d give it a four and a half stars, because the slow pace was a bit too much for me.
